Since May 15, 2026, xAI answers calls to the model grok-imagine-image-pro from a newer version.

On May 15, 2026, the grok-imagine-image-pro model was retired. Since that date, calls to model grok-imagine-image-pro are redirected to grok-imagine-image-quality. Requests targeting the retired model are now served by this newer model instead of being rejected.
