Adobe Firefly API POST /v2/images/generate endpoint removal

Stopped workingSubscribe to Adobe Firefly APIShare

On September 10, 2025, the Adobe Firefly API removed deprecated endpoints, causing POST /v2/images/generate calls to stop working. Requests sent to this endpoint after that date fail because the API is no longer available.

Calls it hits

  • POST /v2/images/generate

What to use instead of these calls

Call POST /v3/images/generate-async instead, and poll the returned statusUrl via GET /v3/status/{jobId} to retrieve the result.

In Adobe Firefly API's words

Removed deprecated APIs : The following APIs are no longer available: - Generate Images v2 API - Expand Image v1 API - Fill Image v1 API
