# A2AClient.fromCardUrl stops working

Calls to SDK @a2a-js/sdk fromCardUrl from major 1 on Agent2Agent Protocol stopped working on July 22, 2026.

On July 22, 2026, the method fromCardUrl was removed. This change affects calls using SDK @a2a-js/sdk fromCardUrl from major 1. Requests made with this method fail since that date, as A2AClient was deprecated in favor of ClientFactory and Client.

## What to use instead

Create the client with new ClientFactory().createFromUrl(baseUrl) from @a2a-js/sdk/client and call sendMessage on it, using the v1.0 messages with one Part type and no kind field. Alternatively, pin @a2a-js/sdk below 1.
