# POST /v1/payments/{}/capture stops working

Calls to POST /v1/payments/{id}/capture on Circle API stopped working on April 3, 2025.

On April 3, 2025, the POST /v1/payments/{id}/capture endpoint was deprecated and removed from the Crypto Deposits API. Calls made to this endpoint fail. Any integration relying on this capture operation can no longer use it.

## What to use instead

Take crypto deposits with payment intents using POST /v1/paymentIntents instead, which does not include a capture step.
