# /v1/notifications/subscriptions is deprecated

Circle API deprecated /v1/notifications/subscriptions* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Circle API announced on October 1, 2026, that webhooks v1 are deprecated without a shutdown date. The deprecation applies to calls matching /v1/notifications/subscriptions*. Once removed, requests to these endpoints will fail as the endpoints are phased out.

## What to use instead

Subscribe with webhooks v2 using POST /v2/notifications/subscriptions instead.
