# livecrawl on POST /contents is deprecated

Exa API deprecated POST /contents, body parameter livecrawl without giving a shutdown date yet.

The body parameter livecrawl on POST /contents has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls continuing to rely on this parameter will eventually fail once the removal takes effect. This change targets all requests submitted to the POST /contents endpoint that specify the livecrawl option.

## What to use instead

Use maxAgeHours with livecrawlTimeout instead.
