# datacenter on POST /v1/servers stops working

Calls to POST /v1/servers, body parameter datacenter on Hetzner Cloud API stopped working on July 1, 2026.

On July 1, 2026, the Hetzner Cloud API removed the datacenter body parameter for the POST /v1/servers endpoint. Requests to POST /v1/servers that use the datacenter body parameter fail since that date. The change follows the earlier deprecation of the property in request and response payloads.

Send location instead of datacenter when creating a server.
