# POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/orders/{}/amend is deprecated

Kalshi API deprecated POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/orders/{id}/amend without giving a shutdown date yet.

Kalshi announced on June 18, 2026, that the POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/orders/{id}/amend endpoint is deprecated without a specific shutdown date. Kalshi API indicated that legacy mutation endpoints are targeted for deprecation between June 18 and June 25. Once shut down, requests made to this endpoint will fail.

## What to use instead

Use POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/events/orders/{order_id}/amend (Amend Order V2) instead.
