# Trace ingestion on POST /api/public/ingestion stops working

Calls to POST /api/public/ingestion on Langfuse API stop working on November 16, 2026.

On November 16, 2026, trace ingestion on the POST /api/public/ingestion endpoint will stop working. Langfuse Cloud serves these trace-ingestion paths until that date, after which matching requests fail.

## What to use instead

Send traces to POST /api/public/otel/v1/traces (OTLP/HTTP) with the x-langfuse-ingestion-version: 4 header, or upgrade your SDK to Python 4.7.0, JS/TS 5.4.0, or later. Score-create batches sent to /api/public/ingestion keep working, so no changes are needed for them.
