# Graph API v4.0 is redirected to a newer version

Since November 2, 2021, Meta Graph API answers calls to /v4.0/* from a newer version.

On November 2, 2021, Graph API v4.0 was retired. Requests to /v4.0/* are now answered from a newer version rather than failing outright. Meta automatically redirects these calls to the oldest version that remains available.

## What to use instead

Update requests to target a supported version, such as v26.0.
