# /v1/payments/sale is deprecated

PayPal REST API deprecated /v1/payments/sale/* without giving a shutdown date yet.

PayPal deprecated the /v1/payments/sale/* endpoints without announcing a shutdown date. Calls directed to these routes are slated to fail under the deprecation notice for the /v1/payments endpoint.

## What to use instead

Show captures and refund them using Payments v2 by calling GET /v2/payments/captures/{id} and POST /v2/payments/captures/{id}/refund.
