# The Messaging and Queuing v1alpha1 API stops working

Calls to /mnq/v1alpha1/* on Scaleway API stopped working on December 1, 2023.

On December 1, 2023, the Messaging and Queuing v1alpha1 API was retired. Calls to endpoints under /mnq/v1alpha1/* fail because their resources and endpoints are no longer available.

## What to use instead

Call the v1beta1 APIs instead. Use /mnq/v1beta1/regions/{region}/nats-accounts for NATS, /mnq/v1beta1/regions/{region}/activate-sqs and sqs-credentials for Queues (SQS), and activate-sns and sns-credentials for Topics and Events (SNS).
