# POST /2.0/sheets is deprecated

Smartsheet API deprecated POST /2.0/sheets without giving a shutdown date yet.

The POST /2.0/sheets endpoint has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Smartsheet API announced on March 25, 2025, that a final sunset date is currently being re-evaluated. Calls to this endpoint will eventually fail once the removal takes effect.

## What to use instead

Use POST /2.0/workspaces/{workspaceId}/sheets or POST /2.0/folders/{folderId}/sheets instead.
