# GET /v1/recommendations stops working on new apps

Calls to GET /v1/recommendations on Spotify Web API stopped working on November 27, 2024.

On November 27, 2024, the GET /v1/recommendations endpoint stopped working for new apps. Requests sent to this endpoint from newly created applications fail. Apps with existing extended mode access retain their access to the endpoint.

## What to use instead

There is no replacement offered. Applications that already have existing extended mode access keep it.
