# /caller-information is deprecated

Telnyx API deprecated /caller-information* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Telnyx deprecated the /caller-information* endpoints without a shutdown date. These legacy endpoints predate the current V2 REST API, and calls to them will fail. Developers should not use these HTTP endpoints for new integrations.

## What to use instead

Look up caller name with GET /v2/number_lookup/{phone_number}?type=caller-name. Moving to this endpoint takes more than changing an identifier, as the matching V2 product must be chosen and validated without a direct one-to-one replacement.

Telnyx names no one-to-one replacement for its retired HTTP APIs: the matching V2 product must be chosen and validated.
