# The Maps SDK for Web V6 CDN is deprecated

TomTom Maps APIs deprecated GET /maps-sdk-for-web/cdn/* without giving a shutdown date yet.

TomTom deprecated the Maps SDK for Web V6 without a shutdown date. The deprecation affects requests to GET /maps-sdk-for-web/cdn/*. Following this change, affected calls to the CDN will fail.

## What to use instead

Render TomTom maps using MapLibre GL JS or TomTom's Maps SDK for JavaScript instead of the V6 CDN bundles. Because the replacement Maps SDK for JavaScript is a new SDK, moving a web map off V6 requires a rewrite of the map code.
