Vonage API deprecated /verify/* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Vonage deprecated the Verify API without a shutdown date. This deprecation affects all /verify/* calls on api.nexmo.com. Requests to these endpoints will eventually fail once the retirement takes effect.

Move to the Verify v2 API (POST /v2/verify).
