# POST /v1/profiles is deprecated

Wise Platform API deprecated POST /v1/profiles without giving a shutdown date yet.

The POST /v1/profiles endpoint is deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls to this endpoint will fail. The change affects all callers using the legacy profile creation route on api.wise.com.

## What to use instead

Create profiles with POST /v2/profiles/personal-profile or POST /v2/profiles/business-profile instead.
