# The Credit Balance Adjustment CRUD API is deprecated

Zuora API deprecated /v1/object/credit-balance-adjustment* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Zuora API has deprecated the /v1/object/credit-balance-adjustment* endpoints without announcing a shutdown date. This deprecation stems from a note covering the Invoice Adjustment, Invoice Item Adjustment, and Credit Balance Adjustment features. Once fully retired, requests targeting these endpoints will fail.

## What to use instead

Adjust invoices using POST /v1/creditmemos and POST /v1/debitmemos under Invoice Settlement. Note that adopting credit and debit memos requires enabling the Invoice Settlement feature on the tenant.

Credit and debit memos need the Invoice Settlement feature enabled on the tenant.
